Abstract
Transmission of video data from multiple cameras requires a huge amount of bandwidth. If camera nodes could communicate with each other, it would be possible to develop algorithms that would compress the data and so reduce bandwidth requirements. However, such a collaboration is usually not feasible, and compression has to be performed independently at each node.
