conguration, the MC can trigger a handover by directly setting the FS’s secondary
address; therefore the handover delays in both directions are reduced signicantly.
Next, we check the sequence number of each data chunk at the receiver and
compare the delay and throughput performance to evaluate the effectiveness of the
SMART-FRX scheme. The WLAN link is modeled by a packet-dropping error mod-
ule that drops consecutive packets to simulate handover losses so that the WLAN link
