A study of setting a proper burial depth for submarine cables

ABSTRACT: As the development of international telecommunication, the submarine cable is widely used.
Burying the submarine cable is an effective protection, but it lacks a method to inform people on how deep a
suitable dig should be. To solve this problem, the article analyzed factors threatening the safety of the submarine
cable, balancing the influences of both the penetration depth and the probability of the target event on the burial
depth. We put forward a method by
