2.5.1. Introduction
Over the last few decades, process safety has become paramount in the chemical industries. To increase the safety of the existing operations, plant personnel have identified and reduced potential hazards by installing adequate measures. A majority of companies have used tools like HAZOP, LOPA, and FTA to mitigate the dangers associated with process operations.
