Many of the iPhone apps you already use might include Apple Watch apps that extend the functionality of the app to your Watch. Regular iPhone apps that include an Apple Watch app have that additional app bundled in with the regular iPhone app. If you have an Apple Watch, the Watch app can be installed on your Watch. If not, the Watch app just stays dormant inside the iPhone app.
