Chapter 12. iCloud

Cloud computing is a buzzword mentioned more and more frequently in the media recently. What is it all about? It means that all devices (computers, smartphones, tablets, and so on) can exchange or share their data with each other via a central server. So, if you, for example, create a presentation on your computer, you can upload it straightaway to the “cloud,” and it is then available immediately on all other devices, such as the iPad. You no longer need to connect the devices to each other via cables and sync them or transfer the data manually. All is taken care of by the “cloud.”
