Chapter 5. Searching Your iPhone

After you've stored something on your iPhone (such as contact information for your friends, songs, podcasts, and third-party apps downloaded from the App Store), you'll probably want to find it again.

The best way to do this is to use the Search feature, which lets you type the name (or part of the name) of an item that you want to find. Type Al, and you'll suddenly see a list of all names and song titles that begin with Al, such as the name Albert or the song title All Out of Love. The Search feature lets you look for words or phrases stored in Mail (to find messages or names), Calendar (to find appointments), Notes (to find ideas), and iPod (to find song titles).
