Have you ever had a great idea and couldn't find a pen and paper so you could write it down? Too often, we promise ourselves we'll jot down our wonderful ideas as soon as we can—and then the whole day goes by and we've not only forgotten to write down our ideas, but we've forgotten what they were in the first place.

To capture your thoughts as soon as they occur, you can type them into the Notes program on your iPhone. Not only will this let you save your ideas immediately, but it also ensures that you'll be able to find and read them instead of trying to decipher hasty scribbles on a napkin or a scrap of paper that happened to be convenient at the time.
