Using Phone Numbers and Email Addresses in a Note

If you type a phone number or email address, Notes is smart enough to recognize it as such and underline it. If you tap an underlined phone number, your iPhone gives you the option to call that number. If you tap an underlined email address, your iPhone displays a New Message screen with the email address already in the To text box.

To see how to dial a phone number and send an email from Notes, do this:

  1. From the Home screen, tap Notes. The Notes screen appears.

  2. Tap the plus sign in the upper-right corner of the screen. The virtual keyboard appears at the bottom of the New Note screen (see Figure 35-1).

  3. Type your note text. Make sure you include a real phone number and email address. When you're finished, ...
