Editing a Memo

If you tend to take a while getting to your point when you're talking, you might want to edit your voice memos after you record them. You can either cut a memo from the beginning or the end—you cannot cut out chunks of your memo from the middle.

Besides trimming a voice memo, you can also give it a unique label or name such as Podcast, Idea, or Lecture. That way you can easily identify what content your voice memo contains.

To trim the beginning or end of a voice memo and give it a label, do this:

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Voice Memos icon. The Voice Memos screen appears.

  2. Tap the button that appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. The Voice Memos screen appears, listing all your recorded memos (see Figure 36-2).
