In addition to storing obvious appointments, such as doctor's appointments, Little League practices, or hot dates, you can use the Calendar program as a reminder system to help you complete tasks that you might otherwise forget about.
If you've set a goal, such as losing weight or stopping smoking, set a recurring appointment every day that will alert you and display a friendly reminder about your goal. If you need to take medication at a certain time of day, set a reminder for that, too. If you always forget to take out the garbage on trash pickup day, set another reminder so you'll never be stuck with a pile of trash for an extra week.
