Chapter 52. Communicating for Free

You can stay in touch with friends and family by making phone calls or sending text messages. Of course, your calling plan may limit you to a fixed number of minutes or text messages. Once you exceed those limits, every call or message will cost extra.

Here's a way to avoid this problem and stay in touch with everyone for free. By connecting to a Wi-Fi network (such as your home network or a free one in a coffeehouse), you can send messages and even make phone calls without paying anything extra.
