The three biggest power-consuming parts of your Macintosh are the following:
Processor This is the part that does all the work, such as calculating mathematical equations in a spreadsheet or determining the trajectory of a missile fired in a video game based on the movement of the mouse.
Display This part is the screen that shows windows, menus, and icons so you can control your Macintosh and read information.
Hard disk This is where your Macintosh stores programs and data.
