Using the Amazon Appstore for Android

In addition to Google Play, the popular online retailer Amazon.com provides another major source of free and paid Android apps. If you already have an Amazon.com account, you can use it to purchase apps for your phone, too. (If you haven’t already done so, you must allow downloading of apps from unknown sources, as explained in “Enabling App Downloads from Other Sources.”)

Installing the Amazon Appstore App

1. Using your computer’s web browser, go to www.amazon.com, click the Shop by Department menu, and choose Appstore for Android, Apps.
