Your Surface 2 device is quite secure by design. All files are encrypted by default, and apps you run are isolated to their own environment and aren’t allowed to access sensitive information stored on the device. Windows RT 8.1 also contains many features deep under the hood that are designed to prevent infections from viruses and other malware. It’s not at all hyperbolic to say that Windows RT 8.1 is the most secure version of Windows ever made.
