Designing a query in Navicat is much like designing a view except that views are limited to SELECT statements whereas the queries can perform any CRUD (create, read, update, and delete) operation.
Just like the View Builder, Navicat’s visual query builder allows you to graphically represent tables and fields as well as relationships between them (JOINS) and by leaving the SQL generation to Navicat, however, this approach only works with SELECT queries. You still have to handcode the SQL for create, update, and delete queries.
