Hercules before the Labors
The story surrounding Hercules cannot be told starting from the middle. Therefore, I wanted to share an account of Hercules before he began his labors, from his birth until the time he murdered his family and was told to serve Eurystheus for 12 years. It is a short but important part of the story, and Apollodorus tells it in Book Two, Sections 4.8 through 4.12, which is in Volume I of The Library.
