What Is Personality?
Situations change, but personality endures. Technically, the term personality refers to patterns of behavior, thought, and emotion that are unique to the individual and are consistent in many different contexts. Personality traits, an amalgam of heredity and experience, should be distinguished from temperament, the genetic matrix on which traits develop.
