Temperament and Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is not a suit than can be tailored to fit all sizes. Instead, treatments need to be customized. Again, different folks need different strokes. In the past, therapists were trained to make psychodynamic formulations, and this method became the standard way to customize treatment. This chapter will critique this approach and will argue that an understanding of individual differences in temperament provide a better way.
