Abstract

A sufficient bioavailability of active ingredients is the prerequisite for high quality nutraceuticals, functional beverages, well-being or energy drinks, and functional foods, in general for all products supporting health and well-being. However, poorly soluble bioactives often have a low bioavailability, which may limit their effectiveness considering the low doses used in these products.
