In This Chapter
Eating nutritional food and avoiding junk
Drinking water instead of calories
Exercising and getting enough zzzz’s
Taking as little medicine as possible
If you’re not ready to commit to the healthy diet and lifestyle changes I recommend in Chapter 2, here are ten rules to good health that may be easier to follow. You don’t have to comply with all the rules, but the more you follow, the greater the benefit.
While certain cows may be telling you to “Eat more chickin’,” I advise you to eat a rainbow of plant-based foods, organically grown, if possible. By “plant-based,” I mean veggies, fruits, nuts (except peanuts), and seeds. By “rainbow,” I mean green, yellow, red, orange, and purple. Head to the produce section at the local grocery store, and you’ll see a rainbow of colors; select foods from the entire spectrum.
