6.1 Introduction
Natural fiber composites (NFCs) are constituted by one or more fiber types of vegetable origin, which act as the reinforcement of a polymer matrix. This can be in turn thermosetting or thermoplastic and oil-derived or bio-based. A large number of natural fibers have been experimented for use in composites.
