3.3. Process pipe sizing for plants located offshore
This section recommends minimum requirements and guidelines for the sizing of a new piping system on production platforms located offshore. The maximum design pressure within the scope of this section is 69,000 kPa gauge (10,000 psig) and the temperature range is −29 °C (−20 °F) to 343 °C (650 °F). For applications outside these pressures and temperatures, special consideration should be given to material properties (ductility, carbon migration, etc.).
