If You Sense Fear or Anger Rising

The twin emotions of fear and anger may bubble to the surface in conflict situations. Alternatively, fear and anger may lurk under the surface and act like riptides, pulling you under. When you can manage your own and others’ fear and anger, you can resolve many formerly irresolvable situations.

The Challenge of Fear

Perhaps fear has stopped you from launching a conflict discussion or resulted in you swallowing words you needed to voice. Possibly, fear has been a slithering snake whispering “danger” in your ear. Unaddressed fear can swamp your fighting spirit and derail your ability to act in your own best interest. Worse, fear can magnetize another’s aggression.
