Q8.1 What is your definition of a vendor?
A8.1 A vendor is a company that is hired to perform some type of work typically defined in a document called a statement of work. The vendor usually manages its own activities and resides at a location apart from the company that has purchased its services.
Q8.2 As a project manager, am I also accountable for work performed by a vendor?
A8.2 Absolutely yes! You are fully accountable for the project and, therefore, all of the pieces that make up the project.
