Should a return-on-investment (ROI) forecast be part of the recommendations that come out of a needs assessment study? ROI analysis is usually discussed as a part of the training evaluation process. It is an analysis that is calculated after training is complete, and it compares the net benefits of training with the costs of the training.

The ROI calculation is:

(Net benefits ÷ Costs) × 100 = ROI (%)
