Motivate Yourself to Exceed Expectations

SETTING the bar high means that you will need to be ready to invest a lot of time, effort, energy, and personal sacrifice to reap the desired benefits. Success is not a sprint; it is more like a marathon. To endure, you have to stay motivated. Research shows that motivation is directly linked to job satisfaction. The unfortunate fact is that motivation drops on average by 60 percent after the first year of professional activity. What was initially excitement turns into routine, and soon enough boredom steps in. One might anticipate that a similar problem may exist in other spheres of life. The question, therefore, is how to stay motivated once you set the bar high for yourself.
