Ajax the Town
If you ever want to visit Ajax, you can do so by venturing into south central Ontario, Canada, where you’ll find the town of Ajax. Situated on the shores of Lake Ontario, Ajax is considered a suburb of Toronto. The town name came about as a result of the munitions plant that was there throughout World War II. Due to its role as a WWII munitions provider, the town was named after the warship that won the first major WWII British naval battle, HMS Ajax.
