Connecting to MongoDB

MongoDB is a NoSQL database that allows JSON-style documents to be stored within it, rather than the traditional tables and rows that a relational database uses. The name MongoDB comes from the word humongous, giving an indication of the size of data that can be stored within MongoDB, as it is not uncommon to store billions of documents within MongoDB.
