the controller can configure the forwarding rules in the switches or
configure a drop rule to that flow. is could be used to filter IP and
MAC addresses, as well as applications, based on the TCP port.
Content-based filtering can also be performed by using middle
boxes. In this case, the controller would forward the suspect flows to
a middle box. is middle box would run any traffic filtering applica-
tion, such as IPtables, to verify the packet content. Afterward, the
middle box could deliver the packet to an OpenFlow switch or drop
the packet.
