When to Use a Two-Day Program

A two-day program is appropriate when

  • key people within the organization support a comprehensive program

  • the targeted audience is 12 or more

  • training facilities for groups are available

  • guest facilitators are available.

Choosing the Content

The content should include the following standard topics for a new employee orientation program:

  • Company history and context

  • Compensation and benefits

  • Policies and procedures

  • Employee programs and services.

The subtopics for those categories are listed in chapter 3.
