Sara Singh can take a seemingly simple fashion item and turn it into an object of desire. A cascade of lipsticks, or nail varnish bottles twisting in a spiral become weightless, gorgeous and shimmering as they tumble from her brush. Her work is fashion as aspiration, fashion as pure fashion – with a lightness of touch that prevents any of her drawings becoming arch, twee or even just girly.
