10.3.8 Conclusion
At existing local plants, it was possible to complete the job training for new and
seasonal employees earlier, which allowed for a quicker response to the heavy
load at the time of new model start-up. In new overseas plants, the fraction of
defective products was kept at the same level as in Japan thanks to minimized
disparity among intelligence operators in dierent countries. e authors pro-
