Supervised learning is a machine learning task that makes prediction using a training dataset. Supervised learning can be categorized into either classification or regression. Regression is for predicting continuous values such as price, temperature, or distance, while classification is for predicting categories such as yes or no, spam or not spam, or malignant or benign.
