The data a user collects with the aid of an application only has a business value if it is retrieved from the database and presented in a meaningful way on the screen or on paper. Thereby the raw data is filtered, aggregated, sorted and mapped. All these operations are part of the query process.

Use the ToFuture and the ToFutureValue extension methods to instruct NHibernate to not execute a query individually when we iterate over it but to send all queries that have been defined as futures in one single batch to the server. The server in turn will then return the results also in a batch.
