Time for action – Implementing an order entry model

The context of the model is an order entry system. The model shall be used as a base for a solution that helps to enter orders into the system. Those orders are placed by customers via phone calls.

  1. Take a piece of paper and try to identify entities that play a role in this context. Draw a box for each entity identified. Try to come up with a solution without reading ahead!
  2. Define the relations between the entities by drawing connecting lines between them. Try to define the type of relation, whether it is a one-to-many, or a reference, and so on.
