Views

Views are database objects that are often used to provide read-only access to data stored in the various tables of the database. Views can provide a partial view of a single table or a denormalized view of several joined tables. In this regard, views are very useful for query operations and less useful for data manipulation operations such as creating and updating data. Views can be regarded as virtual tables. No data is stored in a view. Whenever we query a view, the data is retrieved on the fly from the underlying tables.
