INTRODUCTION

Cybersecurity is an ever-increasing concern for today’s organizations. Customers, clients, and regulators expect their data to be protected and are quick to punish those they see as failing in this duty – a 2023 survey found that 66% of US customers would not trust an organization that allows their personal data to be breached, and 75% would stop buying from that organization.1

As a result, more and more organizations are choosing to implement a formal cybersecurity program (or formalize an existing, ad hoc program). Doing so not only safeguards information and systems but also the organization’s reputation.
