In this section we started off by looking at the various models for project management and what this means in terms of managing them, particularly the concept of ‘delivering through people’. We explored the challenges of managing the temporary organisational structures of projects over and above those for managing business as usual, and the need to develop relationships fast with a wide variety of stakeholders. We looked at the different levels of projects, and how skills changed as we moved up towards oversight of the portfolio, and the need to change our perspective and approach.
