In this section we have learned that NLP is an approach with a long pedigree of familiar ideas and concepts than can help PMs to communicate more effectively and develop flexibility in behaviour to match changes in context.
We learned about the pillars of NLP: outcome thinking, sensory acuity, rapport and behavioural flexibility, which are required to support any NLP technique, and the fact that everything is underpinned by ecology of the human system as a whole.
The familiar concept of different ‘world-views’ was explored, and the way in which our world is filtered by our prior experiences, beliefs and values was introduced. Coding of memories, and hence beliefs, via the representational system of our primary senses was ...
