SOLO SESSIONS

Mostly, managers perform in one of three venues: their personal office, a conference room, or a boss’s office. All three are used for meetings. A small portion of managers’ time is spent alone in their own offices. That’s the area of focus for this chapter.

My purpose is to introduce three self-management tools to enable those who lead others to maximize their own productivity between collaborative sessions. These three tools, which help you be more productive during your solo time in the workplace, are individualized versions of the group Issues Management, Innovation, and Problem-Solving sessions.
