Results of the descriptive statistics conrm a trend in the median test
values. The median for Group 1 (no distraction) is 19.0; the Group 2
(minimal distraction) median is 34.0; and the median for Group 3 (usual
distraction) is 50.0. The median values alone do not conrm rejection or
retention of the null hypothesis. They are, however, necessary to inter-
pret where the trend lies when we have statistically signicant J-T results.
The results suggest that as the distraction level approaches its usual
