Monitoring Systems
Monitoring Systems vary considerably in size and complexity, simple circuits
consisting of individual alarm lights operated by electrical contacts being opened
or closed by a sensor, and usually activating an audible alarm. At the other end
of the scale are the sophisticated types of equipment for alarm scanning
(sequential monitoring of sensors and comparison with stored limit settings),
data acquisition (collection of information on magnetic tape or punched paper
