Deductive Reasoning Example
Premise I: All vegetables contain vitamins. (general)
Premise II: Carrot is a vegetable. (cause)
Conclusion: Thus, carrot contains vitamins. (effect)
The conclusion is a direct consequence of the premises
in the above example. Deductive reasoning helps us extract
what is inherently implied in the premises. The premises
are complete and sufficient to support the conclusion, and
the conclusion does not extend beyond the premises.
