Status of Nuclear Energy:
According to government
policy, nuclear energy is categorized as a non-fossil fuel
source because it doesn’t emit GHGs that contribute to
global warming. Its origin is distinct from fossil fuels.
However, since uranium, the fuel for nuclear power, is
finite, nuclear energy is considered a non-renewable
resource.
