Liquid (Bio-oil):
A dense, viscous liquid is pro-
duced, which can be refined further to produce
fuels or chemicals.
(iii)
Gas (Syngas):
The gaseous products include a
mixture of hydrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon
dioxide, and small amounts of other gases. This
syngas can be used as a fuel or as a feedstock for
producing chemicals.
Syngas can be further processed to separate and purify
the ‘hydrogen’ that can be used as a clean energy source.
Keeping in view the above discussion, there are two
waste management approaches:
Centralized:
Incineration, gasification, pyrolysis
