nearly 200 countries agree to the Glasgow Climate
Pact, which aimed to accelerate action on climate
this decade. Key outcomes included commitments to
phase down coal use, reduce deforestation, speed up
the switch to electric vehicles, and increase financial
support for developing countries

This
focused on implementing the Paris Agreement, which
aims to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees
Celsius, preferably to 1.5 degrees Celsius, compared
to pre-industrial levels.
