INTRODUCTION
The Mesolithic period in Indian subcontinent inaugurated the holocene epoch. This epoch was characterized by warmer temperatures, with earth’s mean temperature increasing to 15 degrees celsius. With warmer temperatures, the earth became greener and gathering activities increased with more flora available.
