INTRODUCTION
Rule of law is a principle that was part of Indian society since ancient times. During the era of the Indian Independence Movement, Indian leaders understood the drawbacks of an authoritarian government due to the misuse and atrocities of the British administration. The founder of modern India had a clear vision of India as a country of empowered masses, the constitutional democratic path was put forward during the national movement and it culminated with the establishment of a constituent Assembly and then the enactment of the Indian Constitution on 26 January 1950.
