Let’s describe the gear we are using and generally how it will be used in the mix.

Nuendo IO Hardware

For this example, we will have 16 channels of Apogee AD and DA converters at our disposal. Eight analog outputs will be dedicated to feeding the analog summing box, and the other eight will be available to patch analog hardware into channels within Nuendo.

Summing Device

For this example, we will use an eight-channel analog summing device. Eight discrete channels of audio arranged in three stereo pairs and two mono channels will be output to this summing device.
